Barriers for IDP Return in Nineveh: A Meta-Analysis & Recommendations

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Nineveh Province of Iraq experience complex and interlocking barriers to return that are conditioned upon geography, gender, and sectarian identity, among other factors. To examine these barriers more closely, MERI conducted a meta-analysis of existing literature on this issue, and addressed important analytical and contextual gaps with original field research.
